The Entomological Collection
The entomological collection includes historic collections from Failla Tedaldi and De Stefani Perez, preserved in around 200 entomological boxes containing several thousand specimens, primarily beetles (Coleoptera), butterflies and moths (Lepidoptera), and grasshoppers (Orthoptera). More recently, two precious specialist entomological collections have been donated: a beetle collection by Magistrate Dr. Vittorio Aliquò and a Lepidoptera collection by Dr. Roberto Vinciguerra. Both are currently undergoing study, cataloging, and restoration.
