Geological Museum Gaetano Giorgio Gemmellaro
Extraordinary opening september 20th with Terradamare

Assisted visits to the Gemmellaro Geological Museum, which houses evidence of the first human presence in Sicily and numerous finds relating to the dwarf elephants that populated Sicily during the Middle-Late Pleistocene.
The Museum's holdings consist of more than 600,000 artifacts divided into numerous collections, with fossils spanning a time span of over 270 million years of Sicilian geological and paleontological history.
Visits will take place starting at 3:00 pm on the three exhibition floors, according to a guided tour. A journey through history, to an ancient and unknown yet fascinating and exciting land, reconstructed thanks to this priceless collection.
