Chiaromonte – Lusso, politica, guerra e devozione nella Sicilia del Trecento – Un restauro verso il futuro

The exhibition Chiaromonte - Luxury, Politics, War and Devotion in Fourteenth-Century Sicily - A Restoration Towards the Future held in the Sala delle Armi and the Church of Sant'Antonio Abate at the Steri last October represents a particularly important and happy moment in the life of the University of Palermo. Thanks to the University's in-house scientific expertise, in fact, it was finally possible to exhibit in its natural home, the Steri in Piazza Marina, which was the Palermo residence of such an important dynasty in the medieval historical context of Sicily and the Mediterranean, works and artefacts closely related to that very context, helping to define it, broaden it, deepen it, as only the serious and rigorous scientific research carried out in the preparatory phase of the exhibition could do.
