Plants of the tropical belt
The greenhouse hosts plants from the tropical belt, requiring specific temperature and humidity conditions. Therefore, it is heated in winter and subjected to misting in summer.
The most represented botanical families are Arecaceae (Veitchia, Hyophorbe, Latania), Araceae (Philodendron, Alocasia, Monstera, Spathiphyllum, Syngonium), and Bromeliaceae (Aechmea, Billbergia, Bromelia, Pitcairnia, Neoregelia, Quesnelia).
It also houses specimens of Acalypha, tropical fruit-bearing plants, and aquatic plants, including some mangroves.
